Quote of the Day

“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”

–Ralph Waldo Emerson

Divine Design

“There is a place that you are to fill and no one else can fill, something you are to do, which no one else can do.” Florence Scovel Shin

The events of this past weekend caught me by surprise and stopped me cold in my tracks. I was sitting down to dinner with my husband on a  Saturday evening and decided to mindlessly flip through the television news channels to see what had happened during the day. I truely want have to say I was guided to take that particular action for normally I would not do that. I am still in a state of shock as I pen this post.

Whitney Houston Dead at 48 years old!

I immediately started crying and calling my loved ones. It was like I have lost a family member. Whitney Houston was like a member of our family. A constant presence in my home during the 80′s and 90′s on the radio, in the cassette player and on the record player (didn’t have a cd player then :) So the last  2 days have been sad for me, so sad.

Today I am back at work and ready to help you live your dreams.

Thank you Whitney Elizabeth Houston for adding many happy memories in my life. No one else willl ever replace you.

Live you dreams everybody. Claim your divine space in the world each day!

You are NOT responsible for what other people do.

People get mixed up about their responsibility in their life. You are NOT responsible for what other people do. Sometimes someone does something that harms you and you think, “I shouldn’t have let that happen.”Not true. You are not responsible. If you try to claim responsibility for something that is not in your power to control, then you actually diminish your ability to control your life. Why? Because deep inside, you know such actions are out of your control. And if you make yourself responsible for something that is out of your control, then you are walking down a losing road. You ARE 100% responsible for how you react to what other people do. You don’t have to be “done in” by anything anybody else does. It is your decision what you focus on. So how you react is always your choice. If you choose to react as a victim, then once again, you are walking down a losing road. The correct choice is to learn from your mistake and put yourself in a position where YOU are in control of the situation, never a victim. This may take some thought, but the solution is always there. You are NOT responsible for bad things that happen in your life. You ARE 100% responsible for how you react to the bad things that happen.

Where Did The Time Go?

Since I have been here and blogged a whole lot of living has been goin on.

We  traveled and cruise and had a great time. Wow! Where do I start.

I know the posts that I share this month will be the year in review. January thru December of 2011 will be in my posts as a reminder to practice what I teach. I often urge my friends and clients to write down their thoughts and activities of their,  because I know that time passed so quickly each day. Well I need to be doing the same thing. Write it down. Get it out.

I invite you to share your thoughts as well and comment. What have you down with in the past eleven months? How do you want to finish the year out? Time to get started on living your dreams.
